Miscellany No Mom-Talk Monday

October 4, 2010

It’s Monday and thoughts are random.  Thoughts are nonsensical.  Thoughts are very miscellany.  Thoughts are totally mom-ish (not Amish).

So let’s see if I can make this brain of mine think of something that doesn’t have to do with kids, laundry, bills, housekeeping, knitting, basket-weaving, or butter churning…

1. Let’s talk about the weather…. it is GLORIOUS outside this morning as I’m typing this.  I was really tempted not to even do a post because I just want to run as far away from the house this morning and just enjoy the outside.  It is about 70 degrees with no humidity right now in FL; the birds are chirping, the doves are “who-ing” and the air inside the house smells so wonderful.

2. We got out the fall decorations and put them up around the house… having the fake leaf garlands somehow makes me feel like I’m experiencing Fall and looking at the changing leaves.

3. I’m really in need of new shoes.  I mean, seriously!  I tend to be a minimalist when it comes to purses and shoes, or as Anita Renfroe says, “a serial monogomist.”  I will wear one out before I buy a new one (or pair).  And my closet is full of brown and black shoes for church because they go with everything better.  I just have these big ole wide feet and absolutely HATE shoe shopping (wow, I almost feel embarrassed to say that as a woman!).

4. I know I keep saying it, but I absolutely must do something with this head of hair I’ve accumulated!  It’s WAY too long!  Plus, with the lower humidity I like to straighten it every now and then and spending two hours straightening hair this long doesn’t sound like fun to  me.  🙂

I hate shoe shopping, too! My sister thinks I am insane for this (and many other reasons)!

Your Dad says he completely understands the shoe thing. 🙂 Enjoy your day!

Wow I love me some shoes and purses & with spectacular sales/clearance and coupons I am able to fulfill my “obsession” for hardly any money at all; Matthew LOVES that…lol 🙂

I know how you feel about the long hair. I have been meaning to schedule a haircut for myself for over a month and just haven’t gotten to it. I totally get the shoe shopping thing. I have issues finding shoes that fit my oddly shaped feet as well. My feet are short and fat…lol. Hope you find some that work for you. 😉

Thanks for linking up! Happy Monday!

I thought I was the only woman in the world who hates shoe shopping and who carries a purse until it wears out! I admit that lately I have developed a little more of a love for purses. I like to carry a slightly dressier one when I’m going to church or out somewhere that calls for something a little nicer than my everyday purse, so I have actually picked up a couple of extras.
Being in WV, I get the full ‘FALL’ experience! I absolutely love this state this time of year. There’s nowhere else like it! : )
I discovered your blog through Miscellany Monday and I definitely plan to come back! : )

I want cute hair too. Problem is I would probably have to style it for it to always look cute. So I just keep it long and in a ponytail all day.

    Happy Monday.

I’m not big into shoes or bags either. Weird, huh?! I guess I’d just rather spend my money on other things. But now thinking about it, I could probably use a few new pairs of shoes myself. The weather is pretty glorious here, too. Very mild for Memphis weather. I’m hoping it sticks around!
