Macro Friday

October 29, 2010

It’s Friday!!!!  Hurray! I am currently enjoying a visit from my parents (who came down to FL from KY yesterday), but thought I’d sneak a few moments in to post a macro shot.  This was taken a week ago at a field trip that Nathan and I took to a historical village.  A little boy that my son was kind of hanging around with at that field trip found this honeycomb (bee-free!), so I just had to take a picture of it.  The color sort of reminds me of a toasted marshmallow.  Weird, I know.

Aren’t they fascinating? I just can’t imagine how all those little honeybees can make such a beautiful and intricate thing. And then I can’t imagine how anyone can question the existence of God! : )

If we didn’t have a red flag warning (burn ban), I’d toast some marshmallows now that you have me in the mood!
