Plaid love

There’s a lot of sibling rivalry around here.

While my oldest son and youngest son get along pretty well (there’s 5 years difference), most fights sadly involve one of the two boys with my daughter who is stuck right in between them.  I’m usually referee-ing a fight between Nathan& Ashlyn or Ashlyn & Joshua.

There are some blissful moments, though, where they just LOVE each other and play with each other.  And those do happen quite frequently around here, even though a fight might break out only ten seconds after a hug and a kiss has taken place.

Here are the younger two, complete with plaid bottoms.  They were playing together and cooperating nicely, even though Joshua has a wrinkled brow in a lot of the pictures.  This was taken the other night at the preserve…

 

I just had to include a color version because their plaids are so clashing… the color version is also my submission for this week’s theme “Sweet” at The Paper Mama.

(Don’t ya just love the socks with the sandals?  He had sores on his feet from a pair of shoes that were too big, so we were trying to keep friction on his feet to a minimum.  Either that or he was impersonating the Florida snowbirds that are prevalent in these parts right now.)

They look a little frozen in the following one… “don’t make me stand too close!”

Not sure why Joshua was so somber in the following one… I guess he didn’t want to spin.
