About Robin

I am a 36 year old SAHM to 3 beautiful children and married to my husband for 12 years.  We strive to be the parents and the people that God has created us to be and look to Him for our provision and for our happiness.  We are SO blessed in so many ways.  The human part of me wants to be “perfect” and is constantly struggling with providing what my kids need vs. trying to have the perfect house (hence the name of my blog).  Sometimes things like “playdough in the carpet” happen, but we shouldn’t sweat the “small stuff.”

LIKES: Jesus, chocolate, my family, anything artistic, MUSIC, singing, structure, rainy days, cuddling with my kids, roller coasters, British humor

DISLIKES: tuna, pretentious people, super-loud noises, Sid the Science Kid, gray hairs on my head, MASH (I just don’t get it)

Hey there Robin! I loved reading your blogs. I haven’t gotten into this yet. I just joined facebook not long ago, but haven’t kept up on that very well. I miss having someone like you around to talk to about this mothering thing. It is so much harder than anyone ever let on! I keep wondering why God thought it was a good idea to let me be a mom – I don’t think I am very good at it! 🙂 Love you!

welcome to the blogging world.(or at least welcome to this blog site)
What a great picture of the family. Your kids can’t be that old. The great thing about reading your blog, is that I can hear your voice reading it to me. (is that wierd?)
    anyway, Love you much

I dislike Sid the Science Kid too. Particularly Gerald. But all the rest aren’t too far behind…

It’s pretty much all the kids on it. Meg/May? is the one that grates me… she does this weird moaning thing when she talks. Thankfully my kids aren’t too attached to the show.

That is too funny; mine don’t watch that show so much anymore(now that we have cable they watch playhouse disney over pbs kids) but I definitely had my fill of the super duper ooper schmuper big idea! I mean even the grandma has the most annoying fake voice/laugh/chuckle…

    Hi Robin
I happened across your blog and really enjoyed looking around at your beautiful photos. I wanted to share the book I wrote with you, but could not figure out how to get it to you on goodreads so i’ll just tell you about it.
It’s called “A Pinhole of Light” it’s about a guy who robs a strangers house and accidentally steals her personal journal. He reads the book and it transforms his life. The journal in the book is my actual real life journal. It is uplifting, thought provoking and more.
Hope you read it and if you do drop me a line.

have a happy day. Eileen Stoecklin

And I’m also a perfectionist. And also really hate tuna! Absoulutly despise it…
